Accessibility Statement

How CareerCaptain approaches accessible design, current limitations and the standard we are working towards.

Last updated · 14 September 2026

Our approach

CareerCaptain is intended to be usable by people with a wide range of access needs. We are designing and testing the service with the aim of aligning materially with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, while recognising that the product is still evolving and we do not currently claim audited full conformance.

What we prioritise

  • clear heading structure and plain, readable language;
  • keyboard-accessible controls and visible focus states;
  • adequate text/background contrast in light and dark modes;
  • meaning that is not conveyed by colour alone;
  • touch targets appropriate for mobile and tablet use;
  • semantic labels for forms, buttons and interactive controls;
  • layouts that remain usable when text is enlarged or the viewport narrows.

Known and evolving areas

Some complex data visualisations, AI-generated content, modal workflows and third-party interface components may require further testing with assistive technologies. Native mobile wrappers are also reviewed separately from the web interface before release.

Reasonable adjustments and feedback

If a feature creates an accessibility barrier, we will consider reasonable alternative ways to provide the relevant information or function where practicable. Accessibility correspondence can be sent to the registered office: The Better Growth Company Ltd, Apartment 1107, 9 Churchyard Row, London, SE11 4FF.

Review

Accessibility is part of the release gate for substantive CareerCaptain redesigns. This statement should be reviewed after material navigation, visual-system or native-app changes and after any formal accessibility audit.
